Here's the second card from my workshop - Masculine Birthday Card. I know that it can be hard to make cards for males but I actually really enjoy it. I have a few "rules" that I stick to when making masculine cards -

I also like to keep it really simple because most guys won't notice lots of details like a woman would. And of course, the most obvious is to use "guy" colors - most men wouldn't want a pink sparkly card! :)
For this card, I used the Paper Piecing technique with the A Muse Thank you gift (this stamp is long retired but it's one of my faves, I use it all the time) since I wanted the present to coordinate with the striped paper but didn't want to color it in. Paper piecing is one of my favorite techniques and can be used with almost any outline stamp. Brads, hemp and distressing finished off the masculine look of this card.

My internet is working again! Hooray!! We haven't had it for a few days now so my DH called Comcast and they sent a guy out here and it turns out the cord for the cable had been chewed through, probably by a squirrel. So he had to replace the wire which ran from our backyard to our neighbor's so it was a big process. I'm just so glad it's working! I have felt so out of the loop the last few days! I love my internet :)
Okay, onto the workshop cards that I promised you. (I'll be posting the first one now and the rest later.) I ended up having 26 ladies at my house over 3 days and it was soooo much fun! Thank you all for coming, I had such a great time and I hope you did as well.
For this card, I had told a friend that I never use purple so I decided to challenge myself to use it. I ended up finding this great striped paper from JoAnn's so it was perfect! The stamps are from PaperTrey Ink except for the cupcake which is A Muse.

*You will make 25 handmade cards, five each of five different designs - male birthday, female birthday, thank you, and then for the last two cards the sentiment will be up to you so that it can be With Sympathy, Thinking of You, Congratulations, etc. You decide based on what you need!
*Please bring straight edge scissors and adhesive to the workshop. All the other supplies will be provided.
*Cupcakes, coffee and tea will be provided and please feel free to bring any other snacks/food you'd like to have.
*If you can not attend the workshop but would still like to make the 25 cards, there will be a limited number of packets that you can purchase and assemble at home. Each packet will have one each of the five card designs already made up for you and all the supplies you need to make the rest of the cards at home. Cost for the card packet is $35. Pre-payment is required to reserve a packet.

Here's the last of five cards for my Christmas card workshop. This is my favorite of all of them, I just love it. This bird stamp is so versatile, I can't wait to add flowers to it for spring and thank you cards later.

This snowflake card is the fourth one that I did for the Christmas Workshop. I wanted something pretty simple for this one. This set is from SU! and it's called The Snowflake Spot and I love it! Thanks to Jessica for letting me borrow it. And it's hard to tell in the photo, but the card is actually very glittery.

Here's my third card that I did for the Christmas Card Workshop. For this one, I wanted to do something fun and cutesy and this little snowman is just about the cutest thing ever so I thought he would work perfectly. The patterned paper is one of my faves but isn't your typical holiday colors but I really like how it turned out.

Here's card #2 from my Christmas Workshop. I actually CASEd this layout from a card on SCS but I don't know who did it. Let me know if it was you and I'll give you credit. Anyway, this card uses SU!'s Trim the Tree set and the sentiment is from A Muse. "Holiday Sparkle" is my very favorite sentiment of all time, I love it!
A couple of things -
I distressed the blue cardstock with sandpaper and then stamped the A Muse Simple Snowflake for the background.
I masked off the tree to stamp the Savvy background to look like little snowflakes. I really like the effect.
