I'm feeling pretty bad today, again. Very dizzy and nauseated - not fun. I read on-line that caffeine can exacerbate the vertigo and I haven't had any (caffeine) for two weeks but today (for Mother's Day), I really wanted a Starbuck's coffee so my DH got me one and now I feel like crapola. I'm thinking I have to officially give up caffeine - NOOOOO!!! I love caffeine but I know that it's really not good for me. Well, atleast there's decaf coffee, right?
Onto the card! I'm pretty sure I haven't shown you guys this one yet. I used the same layout and supplies and this invitation that I made but just changed the stamps. I had all the supplies out so I figured I might as well us them. I really like how this turned out! Although, in hindsight, I think I should have colored in her hair completely instead of just outlining it. Thanks to Ingrid for the image.

For Easter this year, my dear friend Valerie invited us over to her house and we had such a great time! This year was a little different for us because normally we have a HUGE get together with my family but due to some difficult circumstances, we decided to stay here and just be with our friends. It honestly could have been a very rough day for me because for the first time in my life, I wasn't with my family for a big holiday but the day ended up being just perfect and so full of love and joy. Thanks, Valerie! I love you!

And speaking of Easter, here's the dessert I brought - a chocolate, toffee trifle! Can you say yum-o?? I LOVE trifles! They're the easiest desserts ever but look really dramatic! Fun!
My best-friend Heidi's birthday was on the 27th (by the way, she's in Mexico celebrating her birthday. Tough life, huh? :) but I purposely sent this card late so I could use these images! They're just so darn cute together and I really needed an excuse to use them! :) I paper pieced the party hat, I thought it was just the right touch to make this a birthday card. As always, I thought about adding more stuff to this card, but opted for simple instead. I just really like simple.
ETA: I just checked the Weekly Challenge at the A Muse Addicts group and it is to use you Go-to Stamp. You know, the stamp you always go-to for everything. Well, that would be the party hat for me! So this card works for the challenge, yippee!! I LOVE that little party hat!

I made this card for my friend Jordan whose birthday was on the 13th. Happy late Birthday, Jordo! Love you!!
My friend Dana came by the A Muse booth yesterday while I was working and she picked up this Elzybells image and I was telling her how C-U-T-E it is using the tiny party hat and I promised I'd post a card using it so she could see what I mean. The hat stamp is one of my very faves because I can turn almost any image into a birthday card so it's extremely versatile. Enjoy!

I had such a fun day today! I got to work in the A Muse booth at the Heirloom stamp convention doing the make and takes and it was such a blast!! My feet are killing me, though! Lol! I made a poor choice of footwear considering I was standing on concrete for 7 hours straight! :) But it was worth it! (Hmmm, I've sure used a bunch of exclamation points already!) I got to work with Cindy who is such a sweetie, meet a ton of fun people, make cute cards and work with A muse products all day! How fun! I'll post the pics of the make and takes on Monday.
Cindy asked me if I wanted to bring in some cards that I had made to use for samples so I whipped up a few cards last night. This is one of them! (Thanks to Ingrid for the image!)

Here's my second Elzybells card! This started out completely different than it ended up. I stamped and colored the main image, then couldn't decide what color of A Muse notecard to mount it onto. I held it up to every notecard I had and then on a whim, tried the orange and loved it! Why do I love it? Because pink and orange are my fave colors and all the colors on this card are actually how I decorate my house for Christmas. I thought the sentiment, "Have a funky Christmas" would've worked perfectly but, alas, no one has made that stamp yet!
It's hard to tell in the picture, but I added Liquid Glass to the ornaments and lights to make them shiny.

This is my very first card using the new Elzybells NA stamps that A Muse is now carrying. When I first saw the stamps, this image was my instant favorite so I'm thrilled to now own it :) But seriously, what woman in her right mind would go out in the snow with bare legs??? I think next time, I'll color some tights on this poor girl, her legs must be freezing! :)
