Hi there! (Is anyone still here?? Lol!) I've had a much needed crafty break for the last couple of months but I'm back in action now and happy to say I've been stamping up a storm so I have lots to share with you.
Also, have you heard about A Muse Artstamps relaunching as A Muse Studio??? It's sooo exciting! Be sure to "Friend" them on Facebook to keep up-to-date on all the latest info. The official launch date is March 1st so you're just going to have to be patient until then to hear all about it. :)
Be back later with a card!
Who's ready for a challenge? Tonight I'm hosting a color challenge over at the A Muse lounge and it's based off one of my very favorite moves - Dirty Dancing! I looooove this movie and still watch it all the time, I think I might even have it memorized, lol!
Your challenge tonight is to use the colors from this poster - light pink, dark pink, black and kraft is optional - and create a project using at least one A Muse Stamp.
Here's my card -
I used a small circle punch to create the scallops on the edge and the flower is messy colored using Copic markers. I also trimmed the edge of the front panel so the inside of the card would show and attached a strip of black paper on the inside. Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check out the lounge for all the details and more challenges!
Hey chickies! Tonight is the Virtual Pajama Party over at the A Muse Lounge and the theme is movies! I'm hosting one of the challenges at 6:30 so I'll be back in a bit with a card for it! Click here for all of the fun details, hope to see you in the lounge!
Hugs!
Happy Friday! How are you all doing today? We're all a bit sick around here so it's a very lazy day!
I've got some baby blocks to share with you that I made a couple of weeks ago. Paper is A Muse, letters and buttons are American Crafts. I used plain wooden (unfinished) blocks from Craft Warehouse, I painted them white and used Mod Podge to glue the paper down. The buttons are threaded with hemp and attached with glue dots.
I appreciate you stopping by! Have a good day!
Hhhmm, I guess I'm on a baby card kick lately. I think my little Mr. Zeke has been inspiring me. :)
My card today is one that I taught in a class awhile ago but I changed up the color scheme a bit (so my students have already seen this one.) I started by cutting a piece of Grass gingham paper in half to form the card base, and then I folded it "inside out" so the pattern was on the inside. Next I trimmed it down a few inches (almost half-way) so the pattern showed through. For the bumper part of the crib, I stamped it first on the white cardstock then again on a scrap piece of gingham, trimmed it out and adhered it over the first stamped image. I then punched it out and adhered it to the scallop circle. I added a panel of purple kitchen and then some glitter and a sentiment finished it off.
Thanks so much for checking it today! Happy Monday!
Hey there! How are you all doing? All is good here! Sweet baby Zeke is 5 months old today and keeping me busy as always! I sure LOVE being a mama!
Speaking of sweet babies, I've got a few cards to share with you! The first one uses one of my fave baby stamps Elephant and Baby and is colored with Copic markers. I used the yellow kitchen notecards and then colored some white sheer polka-dot ribbon with a gray Copic marker to match the card. The sentiment is from the Baby Wishes clear set.
The next card is a super simple little monkey card that I made using the Jungle clear set by TPC stamps. I stamped the vine and sentiment, then stamped the monkey on a scrap piece, cut it out and mounted it to the card with pop-dots. Super easy!
Off to make cookies then watch a movie with my hubby! Chat at ya soon! :)
Hi everyone! The A Muse calendars are back and available for purchase/download right here. If you're not familiar with the calendars, it's something that Linda came up with a couple of years ago as a way for A Muse to give back to the community. Each year Linda designs these calendars with all of the proceeds going to a different charity and this year, the charity is Charley's Fund. To read more about Charley, click here. (Tissue alert!) Won't you please join the A Muse team in supporting this wonderful cause by purchasing a calendar (or two?) These make PERFECT Christmas presents! I'll be making some over the coming weeks and will post pics as soon as they're done! Thanks so much!
Hey there!! Happy Saturday! I love lazy Saturday mornings (well, it's not too lazy around here since Isaiah has a soccer game in a little bit) but it's still nice to veg for a bit. :)
I've got a happy little card to share with you today for the Moxy Fab Offset Scallop Gallop Challenge., I love this color combo for winter cards. Hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!
Stamps, paper, black ink, ribbon - A Muse Artstamps
Caption Punch - EK Success
Markers - Copic
Blue ink - ColorBox
Can you believe I'm posting two days in a row?? Crazy! I got this Robot kit awhile ago (I'm telling ya, I love kits!) and this is the first time I've gotten to play with it. You know I love making boy cards and this one was really fun/easy to make. This falls under the "it's for a little boy that will not notice details" category so I kept it very simple. The sentiment is from A Muse and the punch is called Captions and it's from EK Success.
Chat at ya soon! Thanks for stopping by!
What's up, blogland? I've got a card to share - woot, woot! One of my fave places for inspiration is Tracy's blog Eat, Sleep, Stamp. She posts a sketch every week and I got to play this time! Yay! Here's the sketch -
And my card using My Mind's Eye goodies. I got this new kit (scroll down, it's the boy version) and I. Love. It. I have a "thing" for kits that include die cut shapes and matching papers, it makes card making soooo easy! The party hat (from A Muse, I'm pretty sure it's retired) is stamped on the pattern paper, cut out and attached to the cute elephants head. The sentiment is also from A Muse from the Mainly Men clear set.

Thanks for checking in! Have a fabulous week!
Hiya! Happy Monday! Today's card features a new technique that I just learned and I'm calling it Swirly Smooch. I'm debating about whether or not to do a tutorial on it but more than likely, I won't get around to doing it so I'm just going to explain it. :) What you do is take a small bowl of water, dip the tip of your Smooch ink into it several times close together (in this case I used pink and orange.) The ink will sort of rest on top of the water almost like oil does. Next you swirl it around a little bit using the top of the lid so it makes a sort of marbly, swirly pattern on top of the water. Then you take a piece of paper smaller than the size of your bowl and lay it flat on top of the water and quickly pull it out. The ink that is floating on top clings to the paper and dyes it in a swirly pattern. Set it aside until it dries and you have custom made pattern paper! Soooo easy and fun! I did it with my boys and they loved it as well. And since there are so many Smooch colors, the color-comb possibilities are endless!
For my card, after my Swirly Smooch paper had dried, I punched it out using a Marvy flower punch. For the stem of the flowers, I used a green Smooch ink and colored just the bottom part of the Bursting Blooms stamp. The rest of the card is super simple with just some ribbon, brads (for the flower centers) and a sentiment. Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you like the card!

Why hello there! Long time no see! Things have been super busy around here (as always) and I just haven't much time for crafting/blogging. I did make up some samples and finally got them photographed so I actually have a card to share today! But before I get to that, are you all having a good summer? It's been really great around here and I'm really not looking forward to school starting again, I like having my boys home! Having three little boys really is wonderful. :) Oh! I got something fun in the mail today, my personalized license plates! Wanna see?
So, do you get it? Hee-hee! I've always wanted personalized plates and I love mine! So fun!
Okay, enough chit-chat! I'm sure you're here to see a card so I'll get onto that! :) I started by stamping the Chrysanthemum Open and then colored it with Copic markers and attached it to a slightly larger piece of Grass cardstock. The background is the Solid Zinnia stamped with VersaMark ink on Kraft paper. I ran a piece of Blackberry cardstock through my Cuttlebug using a Swiss Dots embossing folder and adhered a strip of scalloped white cardstock. Then I attached it to the card and then attached the stamped panel using foam tape. I stamped my sentiment, punched a butterfly from vellum and then added bling with twinkle stickers and glitter. Hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by today!
Hiya! A*MUSE*A*PALOOZA has started and I've got an amuse-bouche (a sneak-peek from A Muse) to share with you today! There are so many cute stamps being released this week but this Spider Tag is one of my favorites! I love it! I embossed it using white EP and I think it looks really cool on the colored papers. The sentiment is new too. Fun, huh? :)
Hope you like this little peek! Be sure to check out the A Muse and other creative team member's blogs for even more eye candy.
Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you know that Scattered Pictures (503.252.1888) is a hosting an A*MUSE*A*PALOOZA Preview Night this Friday starting at 6:oopm. The cost is only $5.00 and it's going to be lots of fun!! Call ahead to sign-up and reserve your spot.
See you there!
I've actually got a card to share today, it's a miracle! Lol! I made this awhile ago but didn't get a chance to share it with you until now. The stamps are from the Everything's Rosy release from A Muse, I love those stamps! Paper and ribbon are also from A Muse. Thanks for stopping by today! I'm off to fold Mt. Washmore! ;)
EDIT - How random is this! I just checked the Clean and Simple blog and this card fits the sketch from last week almost exactly. Kind of funny 'cause I made this card almost two months ago. :)
Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by today! Everything is going so well with my sweet little baby boy but he is definitely keeping me very busy! I have two cards to share today that I made before he was born but first, how about some baby eye-candy? :)
One week old little Zeke -
Two weeks old -
Isn't he so precious? I'm so in love with him!
Okay, enough cuteness, onto the cards! :) Both of these use the Leafy Tree image and So Proud of You sentiment from A Muse. Paper and notecards are also A Muse.
Enjoy!
In honor of A Muse's 9th birthday, I created this card using the new Happy Clear set. This set is AMAZING as it has lots of words to go with the large "happy" so it is perfect for tons of occasions! And check out the banner! The stamp itself is actually in a straight line but since it's clear, I was able to attach it to the acrylic block in a curve and stamp it that way. (The "9" is from the Cupcake Builder clear set.)
Well, my little man is waking up from his nap so I have to keep this short. I hope you've been checking out the A Muse blog because there are tons of great things happening, including a chance to win some new stamps, woo-hoo!
I've still got lots of cards to share and I'm running out of time so I've got 3 cards to share today - yippee! I went a little crazy with this Fawn image and sentiment, they're just so cute together! :)
The first one uses one of my fave new combos - Birch Woodgrain and Clouds paper. (Please excuse the crooked ribbon!)
(All stamps, ribbon, paper - A Muse)
#2 is super simple and I just love it! I cut out and popped up the Fawn this time to give him some more dimension. I usually have a really hard time making a card with lots of white space so I was happy I did it this time! :)
I free hand cut the "grass" for this one and adhered it over the Clouds paper (doesn't it make the best background?). The fawn is cut out and popped up again and the Caterpillar is stamped directly on the green paper and colored with a blue marker.
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you like the cards!
I still have a bunch of cards to show you guys so I'm going to try and get them all posted before the baby gets here (only 8 more days!) since I probably won't have much time to post once he arrives.
For this one, the Bird Cage is stamped in black ink on kraft paper and then I stamped the Tiny Bird on top of it. The "chain" above the cage is just hand drawn little dots. The heart twinkle sticker is the perfect little touch for the singing birdie. :)
Thanks for stopping by today! Happy Tuesday!
Stamps - Bird Cage, Tiny Bird, Heart Sing - A Muse
Paper - Pink Kitchen - A Muse; Kraft - SU!
Ribbon - White polka-dot sheer - A Muse
Accessories - Heart Twinkle Sticker - A Muse; Marvy circle punches; Scallop edge punch - EK Success, Copic Markers;
Here's another card using this little Snail (told ya, I'm obsessed!), he's just so cute! The color combo is another fun one that I'm really liking... I think I just like "springy" colors in general. :) And I think I'll make a few more of these and add them to my stash. It's always nice to have "just because" cards on hand to tuck into packages or just mail to a friend.
Well, not much else to say. Thanks for checking in!
Paper - Clouds, Apricot, Pink GinghamI'm sort of obsessed with this Snail stamp lately. I can't stop using him, he's just so cute! For this one, I first stamped the Long Grass, then stamp the snail on scrap piece of paper, cut him out and adhered him on top of the grass (so it looks like he's in front of it.) Then I did the same technique with the birdie (first stamped on top of the snail, then on a scrap, cut out and adhered over the first one.) Everything is colored with Copic markers.
Thanks for stopping by! :)
Stamps - Long Grass, Friends to the End, Snail, Tiny Bird - A Muse
