Hey chicka-dees! How are you all? Thanks for stopping by and checking in on me today - I so appreciate all of you!
I've got one of my class samples to share with you today. I used the car image from the Simple Wishes clear set but instead of stamping the whole thing, I added a small piece of Scotch tape directly to the stamp to cover up the present before I inked it. Then once it was fully inked, I pulled off the tape and stamped it as usual - Voila! A car with no present! :) The heart was punched out and then I added some *bling* (aka red glitter) to make is sparkle! And don't you just love that little pink "road" underneath the car? It's actually a ric-rac Pretty Little Paper from A Muse. Love those things!
Hope you're all having a great day! Take care and I'll talk at you later - lol! :)

Accessories -Heart punch - EK Success; Glitter - Martha Stewart; Copic markers; Scallop circle punch - Marvy
Hi Everyone! I had two more great classes at Paper Moon this weekend - thanks to all the ladies that came!
I've had a couple of requests for my class card packets from my blog readers and I have a few extra from this past weekend so I thought I'd offer them up to you guys. The first class is Think Simple, Think A Muse and it has 6 cards + envelopes in the packet. Everything will come to you pre-cut and stamped with a complete instruction sheet, and you get the fun of coloring and assembling the cards! The second class is Hugs and Kisses and it has 5 + envelopes cards in the kit. The cost for each kit is $20 + shipping.
Email me if you're interested - first come, first served!
Hope you're all doing well!
Here are two of the cards from my second class on Saturday, Katie's Favorites (by the way, I got the idea for my class from my friend Geeta....plus, you know how much I LOVE all my favorite things!)

Here are two cards from the first class, All Occassion Cards.
All images, notecards, ribbon, black dy ink - A Muse
Markers - Copic; Glitter - Stampendous; Corner rounding punch - EK Success
This one is sweet and simple! Some of the ladies in the class changed the word from "hi" to "girl" for baby cards - so cute! Gotta love those polka dot letters!

Ink - ColorBox
Accessories - Felt flower, brad: American Crafts; Marvy scallop punch
I'll post two more cards tomorrow from my other class - Katie's Favorites!
Have a wonderful day! Here's to hope and change!
I have two classes left this year on December 20th and I'm really looking forward to them! The first one is Winter Wonderland (winter themed cards) and the second is Thanks SNOW Much (holiday thank you's). I have a few spots left so I would love it if some of you could make it! Call Scattered Pictures to sign-up (503.252.1888).
I'm even nice enough to show you a couple of samples :) The first one is from Winter Wonderland and I used the February Banner set from the Saltbox Studio. I *love* this set! I think after my class, I'm actually going to change the sentiment on this to "thanks snow much" and use it for my holiday thank yous :)
(I know the ribbon looks really bad, but I fixed it after I took the pic.) I think this card is so soft and pretty, I'm really happy with how it turned out. :)
Images, notecard, ribbon, ink -A Muse (SBS February Banner set)
Accessories - Colored pencils - PrismaColor; Glitter - stampendous
From the other class, this is my fave thank you card. I CASEd this sentiment idea from Lori. I've said before that I love to use a font set and replace one of the letters with a shape so when I saw her do this, I KNEW I had to try it! (The inside says "thank you".) And see that "you're sweet"? It's from the cupcake clear set and because it's clear, I was able to just cut it in half and attach it to the block. Love those clear stamps!
All images, notecard, Twinkle Sticker - A Muse (Polka dot font set small; Simple Celebrations clear set; Cupcake builder clear set)
Ink - Adirondack: Espresso
Accessories - Snowflake punch - Marvy; Glitter - Stampendous
Hope you like the little peeks for the class and I would be so happy to see you there!
I woke up yesterday morning not feeling well but I tried to fight it off all day. I even taught my Holiday Tags class. Then I had a terrible night's sleep of rotating between roasting/sweating and freezing/shivering. Now today I have a sore throat, fever, headache, and my whole body hurts...oh, I hope I don't have strep! And I REALLY hope I didn't get of my students sick last night! So, please send good thoughts this way - I could really use it. :)
Here are a couple of the tags that we made at the class -
All images, ribbon (except the red ribbon), paper, ink - A Muse
I'm heading back to the couch so I'll see ya all later. :)
I had two great classes today - thanks to all the ladies that came, I always have so much fun with you guys!
Here's my favorite card from the two classes. I got this Saltbox Studio set when I was in Seattle and this was my first time using any of the SBS stamps and I have to say - I love them! At first, I wasn't sure if the stamps were really "me" but now they're my new faves and I can't wait to get more. You should definitely give them a try :)
Well, Isaiah wants me to make paper snowflakes with him so I gotta go. Sorry I haven't been around as much, I'm just SUPER busy with everything. Hope you all have a great Saturday night!
Images - Saltbox Classic Christmas; Christmas Wishes MA - A Muse Artstamps
Notecards, ink, ribbon - A Muse
Accessories - Colored pencils: PrismaColor and Lyra; Glitter - Stampendous
Here are a couple of samples from my latest A Muse Christmas card class.
This first one uses Kraft paper and ColorBox ink (there's purple snowflakes, too, that are hard to see) and I love the softness of it.
I love the layout of this second card! The present is from the clear set Simple Celebrations and I used my favorite technique (paper piecing) to coordinate the presents with the polka-dot paper. (Paper is American Crafts.)
I have a couple more classes this year and they're lots of fun! Check out the schedule over there on the right and if you'd like to attend one, please call Scattered Pictures to sign-up - (503.252.1888)
I have a couple of new cards that I've made but haven't had a chance to photograph them yet so I thought I'd show you a few of card from my last two classes. The first couple are from Autumn Greetings.
I love this first card! Iused the Dot Trio to make the background for the tree trunk (which is from the Trees 2 set) and ColorBox Cat's Eye ink for the colors. Sweet and simple!
This card uses several different pieces of the Madeira paper and the tree is from the Trees 1 clear set. (LOVE those tree sets!) The image is colored with Lyra colored pencils.
The next class that I taught was Make it Merry so here are two samples from that one. I'm in a hurry so I'll just leave out the chatter and give you the pics. :)
(This one was inspired by one of Julie's cards.)
I had another great class last night at Scattered Pictures. This was a repeat of last week's class and it's the same one I'm teaching again next week. There are few more openings left for next week so give them a call if you'd like to come - 503.252.1888. I'd love to see you there!
Here are two cards that I taught. This first one is super cute but I think maybe a *tad* too difficult for beginners so I think I will make the rest of my cards more simple from now on :)
All images, notecards, ribbon, Twinkle Stickers - A Muse Artstamps
I love this next one! The Peace and Cheer clear set is really versatile and can used to make anything from cute to elegant cards. I used a ribbon slot punch to make the holes next to the dove.
Happy Thursday!
I just realized I haven't posted any cards from my last class - Frightful and Delightful. The class was great as always and every lady there was a repeat attendee! Isn't that cool? I'm so happy everyone is enjoying the classes because I'm having a blast teaching them!
Here are two of the cards that I taught. Enjoy!
All images, notecards, ribbon - A Muse Artstamps
(The treat bag is a retired image but Scattered Pictures had a bunch of them so I was able to use it. I think she has one left so if you want it, email me and I'll snag it for ya.)
Hi everyone! Here's my updated list of classes. Thanks so much to all the ladies that have come so far or are signed up for the upcoming classes. I appreciate every one of you!
The classes have been filling up very quickly so be sure to call EARLY and reserve your spot :)
The Fall Fun card class last night was awesome! All of the ladies did a great job and I had so much fun! Here's another one of the cards that I taught. This one was inspired by Julie's card here. I got a lot of inspiration from the A Muse girls for this class :) Speaking of the class, I decided to teach it again next Wednesday because the first class filled up and we had a waiting list. Call Scattered Pictures (503.252.1888) if you'd like to sign up for it. :)
The big block stamp is inked using two types of Cat's Eye ColorBox pigment ink. When you're using two colors of ink on one stamp, always start with the lighter ink first so you don't transfer the darker ink to the light ink pad and ruin it.
Hope you're all having a good day!

Paper - DCWV
Ribbon - A Muse
Ink - ColorBox
Hi guys! I have another card class tonight featuring the Fall images from the latest release from A Muse. Here's one of the cards we'll be making. This was completely inspired by Heather's card. I love all of her work!
(I'm still trying to figure my camera out so my pics are going to be a bit wonky for awhile. And please pretend the sentiment isn't crooked :)
All images, notecards - A Muse
Ink - VersaFine
Paper - Neenah, DCWV
Accessories - Glitter: Martha Stewart; Brads - American Crafts
Here's a list of the upcoming classes I will be teaching at Scattered Pictures. Call the store for more details and/or to sign-up. Hope to see some of you there!
My Let's Hear it for the Boys class at Scattered Pictures went soooooo well last night! The class was full (yippee!) and the ladies were all fantastic! It's so much fun to get to hang out with a group of women and share my love of stamping with them! I'm very thankful for this opportunity. Here are two of the cards that we made. My biggest 'thing' when it comes to guy cards is too keep it SIMPLE. Most men/boys aren't going to notice a bunch of details :)
Fire truck Birthday -
For this one, we colored in the image with Copic markers, then added brads for the wheels. The notecard was stamped with one of the images from the Fancy Borders set to add more interest and because it looks like a road, so I thought it would work with the fire truck.
Recliner-
This is a great example of a simple, masculine card - no embellishments, just little details like the gorgeous paper and an embossed edge on the white square. I showed the ladies how to use a blending pencil, too, and they all really liked it :)
Hope you're all having a good day! Why don't you try making a masculine card today and remember, keep it simple!
Gettin' Tipsy - Colors schemes are the easiest way to give a card a masculine feel. Try starting with either black or chocolate brown then add one other 'pop' of color to tie it all in.
Just a reminder that I have my next class at Scattered Pictures tomorrow evening from 6:00 - 7:30 pm. We'll be making 5 masculin/boy cards featuring A muse Artstamps. I think there are two spots left so give them a call if you want to come!
